Tiny Moths to Open Flames Pouch

Image
When I ordered my fat quarter of my Moths to Open Flames kit, I got it on the dress weight faille. The extra width left me with enough of the outer fabric to make a second smaller pouch.  View of the design when printed on a fat quarter of dress weight faille The small zipper pouch is made with the Ripple Stripe border along the bottom. I used some of the coordinating Flame fabric that I had on the basic cotton for the lining.  Here I've turned the lining inside out for a better view. The Flame fabric is printed at a larger size than in the kit.

Constellations Fall is the perfect time for stargazing. The sun sets earlier each day and the frigid nights of winter have not yet arrived. This week we're asking contestants to create designs inspired by constellations. Previews will be shown at the fat quarter fabric size (21" x 18"). Deadline for entry is Tuesday, September 24th, 2013. This is my entry, Spacemen with Constellations , for the Constellations contest from Spoonflower. Pot Holder II.

Image
I got around to making another pot holder, this time with a woodland theme. On one side it has my Squirrel fabric, and the other side is  Arctic Foxes on Gray .

Pot Holder

My family goes through pot holders pretty quickly, so I've made a new one. Its a rather unusual pairing of my  Smokin' and a Bandit and  my Mothers Day Roses on Black , but I really like it. Smokin' and a Bandit Mothers Day Roses on Black
