DId you know that the United States alone uses approximately 100 billion new plastic bags every single year? To honor Earth Day 2014, we're asking you to create a cut & sew pattern for a reusable shopping bag. The design should be set up to be centered. Preview will be sized at a single yard (42" x 36") of Kona Cotton, although your actual design may fill a yard of one of our wider fabrics. Deadline for entry is April 15th, 2014.

Exterior design of the grocery bag, featuring my cats Richard and Regelwyn, the pink ends up on the sides.
This cat design is also available as a pillow here, and the wooden background is available here. |
 |
A matching clutch with another of my designs featuring my cats is available on the wider fabrics (at least 54").
The clutch requires a zipper approximately 11" long. |

And here's the design on the coin purse. You can put either the pink or blue on the outside and use the other as a lining, or you can make an unlined purse with both as exterior fabrics. |
